Agate is a translucent variety of microcrystalline quartz. It is used as a semi-precious stone when it is of desirable quality and colour. Agates have been used as gemstones for thousands of years. They were some of the earliest stones fashioned by people. Agate was the traditional birthstone for May back in the days of the ancient Romans and Greeks, when birthstones were generally assigned to the Astrological sign rather than the month. Agates are a form of Chalcedony, available in almost any colour, and often banded, striped or spotted.

Austrian crystal is handmade using a technique traditionally known for cutting hand-blown glass. Austria leads the world in the production of precision-cut crystals. They are used in fashion and jewellery as well as in architecture lighting and interior designs.

Opal is one of the world's most popular gemstones and the birthstone for the month of October. A nice precious Opal can flash every colour of the spectrum with an intensity and quality of color that surpasses the fire of Diamond. The best Opals command prices per carat that rival expensive Diamonds, Rubies, Sapphires, and Emeralds.

This beautiful handmade bracelet contains Agate and Austrian Crystal beads each one separated by a Gold coloured spacer bead. The beads are threaded on to Jewellery elastic making it easy to put on and take off. This bracelet is finished off with an Opal Pendant set in a Gold coloured mount. This bracelet will fit Wrists from 5cm approx and upwards.
